Live performances are moments in which the artist trying to establish physical interactions between material and immaterial worlds. Performed in solitary or in front of and audience can trigger new forms of energy and channel the Messages. With durational performances (sometime they last 4-6 hours), the artist gets close to a spiritual dimension, reaching a mental and corporal synergy.

Live performances are moments in which the artist explores her sensibility toward everyday little occurrences, trying to establish physical interactions between material and immaterial worlds. Performed in solitary or in front of and audience, these actions usually take place in public spaces, where possible encounter between the One/Unit and the Others can trigger new forms of energy and channel the Messages. With durational performances (sometime they last 4-6 hours), the artist gets close to a spiritual dimension, reaching a mental and corporal synergy and becoming one with the gowns worn, the props and the surroundings.

In July 2015, I accidentally found a series of books dating back to the early 20s belonging to my grandmother. In those books I reread many of the stories she used to tell me. I felt like I had recovered the roots of my memories. I decided then that this richness had to be passed on, and that what her eyes beheld, my eyes would have seen too, and so those of other people. That was when I made:
À travers vos yeux I°
À travers vos yeux I° is a live 40-hour performance, made during the International Theatre Festival in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy, in July 2015.
For 10 evenings, 4 hours a night, I waited for the audience on a balcony in the town centre. All my family books were laid on this balcony, and the public was invited to randomly open a manuscript, to choose a page and tear it off. I waited for each person to hand me that page and, after a first visual contact, I interpreted a phrase, a word, or the entire text.
What mostly interested me, throughout and after the performance, was that the words I was reading were in some way related to my personal memory, but at that very moment they acquired a shared value recognised by the audience; many people were moved by hearing phrases about universal archetypes, acknowledging in those pages past experiences and interpreting the message as a personal message.
I later read, in several scientific studies, that people rather tends to retain a semantic memory, which is inherent to the notions of the universe, and to erase episodes belonging to the private memory, and books, through the public memory, can retrieve personal memories.
The gesture of tearing the books was controversial. But, in order to give new shape to the memory, I felt the need for a transformation.
The dismembered pages, which represented the persons I had met – nearly 700 in ten days –, were eventually applied to my dress. At the end of the performance, I was wearing the memory of the moment, now collective. Through a dress, what was once inside was now brought out and made wandering.
À travers vos yeux I°

“à travers vos yeux II° Live Performance. @ Acqua Alta library, Venice. IT
The performance À travers vos yeux I° in Santarcangelo was the first step of a research, which developed into a second stage on September 3rd, 2016 ACQUA ALTA bookstore in Venice, (which is considered by The Guardian and BBC the second most fascinating library in the world) I have created À travers vos yeux II°. Therefore, I have submitted the performance of Santarcangelo one more time but, in this occasion, I have selected some of the library’s texts. The torn off and read pages, have been later offered to the audience, so that part of the memories related to the location could be distributed.
