Live performances are moments in which the artist trying to establish physical interactions between material and immaterial worlds. Performed in solitary or in front of and audience can trigger new forms of energy and channel the Messages. With durational performances (sometime they last 4-6 hours), the artist gets close to a spiritual dimension, reaching a mental and corporal synergy.
Gilda Marconi Sancisi
INTHISLIGHT#
Gilda Marconi Sancisi (born Cesena 1987) is a contemporary religious artist.
In 2008 she graduated cum laude in Fashion and Textile Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan; she worked in a fashion industry for many years,Gianfranco Ferrè has been the most significant maison for her career. She won several competitions in the fashion field, and realised textile artworks for a series of special art projects. Later, she worked as interior designer for some Luxury furniture companies. In 2012 she creates her own fashion brand, GildaSancisi, presenting her collection in Paris and London. In 2013 she pursues her research in theatrical and cinema, she takes part in several shows and short films.
In 2009, she began to paint on leather and fabric scraps; she registers a special painting technique: oil on skin treated with fire.
In those months, she takes part to a few group exhibitions, but soon decides to retire in her studio in order to develop a deeper artistic thinking. This will lead her to work in her Migdala space in Savignano sul Rubicone for several years, avoiding any kind of exhibition.
In 2014 she start to realize a series of live performance and china ink drawings I.C.O.N series. In her work Gilda Marconi Sancisi seeking unconventional communication systems between man and Divine.
She is an indipendent artist and in recent years she has participated in solo and group exhibitions and live performance in Italy and abroad.
She lives and work in Savignano sul Rubicone (FC) italy.
